Indonesia is a republic and has free elections presidental elections every five years. they base their law system on Roman-dutch law. The legal age to vote in Indonesia is 17.[1]
The red in the flag symbolizes human blood and the white represents the human spirit. The design of this flag is based on the 13th century Javan Majapahit Empire flag that had nine red and white stripes.

A police raid of Jakarta has killed one of Indonesia's most wanted teroists.
The suspect behind the bali bombings in 2002 has been killed by Indonesian ploice. THe police raided Jakarta and one of the terrorists killed in the raid was Dultmatin one of the top southeats asian terrorists. Dulmatin was a electronics specialist trained in a AL-Qaeda camp in afghanistanand had a 10 million bounty on him. Dultmatin was killed during a shootout during the raid by police.
For the people of Indonesia this is a victory because Dultmatin was one of southeast Aisa's most wanted terrorists. Dultmatin was the lead suspect in the bali bombings of 2002 wich killed 202 people.[3]
An earthqauke with a magnitude of 6.5 struck friday night off the coast of Sumantra. The qauke centerde around 100 miles. There were no reports of injury or damage to property. The pacific tsnami warning center said there wa a small chance of a tsunami.
